Well, not the name I would give to my graceful supercar. More like, um, Grace. How do/would you name your car?

I refer to my cars by there brand names, but they do have names that are never used aloud. The sc400 has been Esperanza since day 1.

My Preludes are Lucky and Cosima. I haven’t named the TSX yet after almost a year of ownership.

I think the car was commissioned by Deborah Mayer who is an entrepreneur and competes in the Ferrari Challenge racing series. This car happens to lineup with the, “Il Rosso & il Rosa,” exhibit that was just opened in the Enzo Ferrari Museum over in Modena which showcases prominent female owned and driven cars (and obviously the very well-doing women owners themselves).
Im making the assumption since Mayer is the only Deborah prominent enough to get a vehicle (and paint) named after her. Plus, she was one of the speakers and is featured in the exhibit. Would make sense to have her commissioned car (assuming it’s hers) be a kind of headline for all this.
Maybe one of the Jalopnik staff will do some research on her and do a write up if they havent already.

... by Deborah Mayer ...
Whatever. It’s not a nice name. At least it’s unimaginative.
Mayer would be a german surname. It comes most probably Meier , which would be a head of a municipality in medieval times. It would roughly translate to Scoltetto . Which would be a way more interesting name.
But that’s only an opinion.

You’re going full Nazi because of me not liking a name. Really?
Just to be clear. I despise any kind of racism, sexism, elitism, fascism, nationalism, militarism and whatnot.

i name my different “projects”, so that they end up with what is a code name to remember them better by. something better than “that OTHER 350 smallblock, with the big cam”......... for example, we have here , as the body and chassis “mary shelly”, and the engine that is in it
and the engine that is in it, is “Madeline Kahn”........ both of frankenstein connections......
so the project gets named “the Mary Shelly, Madeline Kahn love triangle”..........
here is a picture of “Jane Mansfield”
and the truck is “green”, so it is “Jane Mansfield and the Green truck connection”
some of them just get called “whomever i got it from”’s “ex”
not that i call them any of this stuff in front of other folks, but it sure helps to keep things straight in my mind........

My new-to-me Volvo is named Sif. Not the sexiest name, admittedly (it’s for an XC90), but then again the actress who’s played Sif in the Thor movies is, ah, quite a looker. •asks Cortana...• Jaimie Alexander. Yeah.

Hard to name a car without driving it. My car is Betty and my wife’s car is Ami, her previous car was Layla. I have no idea where the names come from lol
